As we rush headlong towards our freedom ... This report from India makes very sobering reading. **LINK**

Covid19 seeks out the weak and compromised animals in the herd

In a herd of 6 billion mammals, many of whom are totally reliant upon science to keep them going, there are going to be an awful lot of opportunities

This is the new normal, the "Good Old Days" are gone

As they say, it's not over until the fat lady sings!

Although looking good in the UK at the moment, we may be on thin ice. About 500 cases of the Indian variant have been identified here and mass testing in the vicinity is being done to identify and isolate carriers. The variant is being studied urgently in the UK. The scientist interviewed on the BBC said the current thrust is into how easily or not this variant spreads compared with others. It appears to be rather more virulent. They are also keen to understand how effective current vaccines are against it, but there haven't been enough cases yet to assess this.

Given Corana virus has proved adept at evolving new strains all around the world, there's considerable concern that sooner or later existing vaccines won't be effective against some of them. The nightmare is a variant that spreads easily, makes people seriously ill, and is immune to all our current vaccines. There could well be more unpleasantness to come. At minimum I'm expecting to be jabbed annually for Covid and Flue from now on.

India is a warning to politicians who choose to propagandise rather than deliver. Before the latest catastrophe the Indian Prime Minister claimed credit for successfully managing Covid. Some people can't tell the difference between luck and talent!

I was reading a report that said the population of India has about 90% with vitamin D deficiency. Since this has been linked to higher susceptibility to Covid-19 it seems like a perfect storm of conditions for a major problem when you look at the other factors that apply there.

Two weeks ago , Brussels hospital received 40 nurses from India.

Tested 'clear ' leaving India, 'clear' leaving France, after 5 hour coach trip to Brussels , 29 have Covid.

Le monde , c'est fou.

Methinks being diabetic is not a good thing & quoting Ady 'In a herd of 6 billion mammals, many of whom are totally reliant upon science to keep them going, there are going to be an awful lot of opportunities', with age we will all at some time be in that position.

I don't know if anybody can. It's too easy for either to masquerade as the other, and then suddenly appear in the opposite aspect:

"If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster

And treat those two impostors just the same"

etc.

laugh

Not that it's any fun for those affected.

Quote from Martin Connelly:-

This is quite a surprise as I always thought that Vitamin D was generally related to lack of sunlight so was more prevalent in fair skinned northern peoples. However, given that almost all Hindu's and Sikh's are vegetarian does this have a bearing on the level of deficiency?

We exported all our pollution to the Far East for them to make more of it , how much 'sunlight ' gets through that ?

True, they also value a whiter skin and so avoid the sun and wear factor 50. The 90% will be a guess and not fact

And an even more encouraging headline, referring to last Monday:

Zero Covid deaths for England, Scotland and NI
