Hi Kris welcome to the forum. I'm not a steam person but always amazes me on the amount of work needed to make a traction engine. What machinery do you have as it helps when you hsve a query etc.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys.

I'm near hartlepool but other side of the A19

I've got a warco gearhead lathe and mill so prett

y well kitted out and I've got access to bigger gear at work if I need it.

I'm looking forward to getting started on the traction engine ive got a few othe projects to finish first. Looking at part built options at the moment the main bit I'm planning on "Subbing out" it the boilder even tho I work at the place that produces the pipe that the boiler will probably be made from.. but I think easiest way to get a certificate is to go to a specialist

Let me know if anyone dissagrees with the above I'm in no rush so anything's possible.

Kris
