You could always turn a 3MT down to 2MT. Brian Or use a 3-2MT reducer. Might need a longer lathe, or taller milling machine, and a ‘lead-in’ to get the reamer on centre height. |

![]() 1071 forum posts | The standard taper for 1" reamers is 3MT. Instead of turning down a 3MT to 2MT consider buying a straight shank reamer and turn the end of the shank to a diameter that fits your chuck. |
