![]() 212 forum posts 16 photos | I need to rebuild part of a mchine that has some telescopic driveshafts (about 18mm in dia) Each end is fitted to a uk and is locked in place with a c shaped spring (10mm width) to which is fitted a cross pin. So in cross section the clip looks like a circular letter E. I don't have the originals and I'm trying to source something similar - any idea what they are called? Matt |

Roy. Roy, All I get is Boss scaffolding and these are waaaay too big for me. The type is what I am after but I am struggling (no matter what I search for) to find smaller versions. Hence my quest to find out what they are called. Matt Edited By Matt Harrington on 01/11/2018 12:51:46 |

![]() 212 forum posts 16 photos | Neil, I have seen these ones. I'm not sure I have the space for the bit that sticks out. In addition, these see mto start at around 28mm dia which is too large for my application. Matt |

1504 forum posts 142 photos | This type of spring clip and pin is widely used in the disability aid market, for securing adjustable legs on stools etc.by the pin going through corresponding holes in an internal and external tube They usually consist of a plastic horseshoe with a steel pin. In this context they are known as a "push-on pin clip" |

![]() 212 forum posts 16 photos | Thanks John - These are going to work one end but not the other as the clip had to sit on the end of the universal joint and not obstruct the sliding part. At this rate I will end up making some from clock spring steel and riveting a pin in. Search goes on.... Matt |
