122 forum posts 30 photos | Hi, I've had an email telling me I can now download Januarys MEW within my Pocketmags app. However, it isn't showing in the app. I've tried refleshing the page but it's still not showing. I'm probably just jumping the gun but was wondering if anybody has been able to view the January addition yet. Thanks, Steve. |

84 forum posts 3 photos | Steve Every time a new mag is published I have to re-enter my subscription number in Pocketmags. Did this morning so I could look at the latest MEW. Haven't checked to see if PM have released an update to the app yet as I can keep going back. As I said only seems to happen on new issues. Murray Haven't had an email from PM the last couple of times even though the email box is ticked |

![]() 2904 forum posts 448 photos | I can't see how to re-enter the subscription number as such, probably because I'm using the Windows "app" (phoaaar!). I was able to "unlink" my account and then reconnect it......with no change. A bit underwhelming perhaps. The "app" certainly seems a bit clunky but that seems to be par for the course these days. It's evidently more important to have a funky interface than to actually get feedback on whether it works in a remotely intuitive or dare I say competent manner. Going in through the long-winded ME website > pocketmags route shows the Jan edition. WTF?? Good thing I bothered to install and set up said "app". This process was not helped by having to reset the password which seemed to involve all manner of order numbers, email addresses, links to click, passwords etc. Given the average age of the typical subscriber, this must cause a lot of frustration.... 122 forum posts 30 photos | Mmmm. I'm using a Samsung tablet that had a big software update last week. It looks like Pocketmags thinks my subscription has expired. I've been paying by direct debit for a couple of years so thats a bit odd. Murray, I've been looking around the Pocketmags app and I can't find how to re-enter any details either. Looks like I will have to wait for my paper copy. Steve. |

![]() 2376 forum posts 800 photos | My tablet's a Samsung. Pocketmags wanted me to pay for the January MEW but I just went to "Restore Purchases" (touch the 3 bars in the top left hand corner) and entered my subs number and everything was fine. HTH, Rod |

![]() 1545 forum posts 484 photos | Curiouser and curiouser. I had the same problem - Pocketmags didn't show issue 263 of MEW on my iPad until I "restored all purchases". Even then all I got was the revolving downloading symbol. That went on for several minutes until I lost the will to live and shut the app down. Restarted Pocketmags and low and behold, there was MEW 263! Technology, eh? Anyway, looking forward to a nice quiet christmas and reading it at my leisure. Happy Xmas to all. John |

![]() 41 forum posts | Not sure this is right place for this question but in January's issue of MEW the cover states "Milling for Beginners - part 2". Nothing wrong with that other than were was Part 1? Looked through the index in Dec issue. No mention of part 1. Do I need to go to Spec Savers? Barry |

Nope, you don't need to go to Specsavers, you need to look in the November issue I suspect it is alternating with the beginners' lathe series. |

![]() 41 forum posts | David. Thanks very much and yes I still think I do need to go to Spec Savers!! Thinking I had missed it, which I had, I resorted to the index in the Dec issue and not seeing it there did wonder whether part 2 was a misprint and I was looking for something that did not exist. As ever many on the Forum are a fount of knowledge. Once again thank you. Barry |
