Hi

Just joined the model engineer club so I thought I introduce myself.

I did a 4 year apprenticeship with the civil service at the royal small arms at Enfield lock as a tool maker. Work in many engineering companies as a CNC programmer, setter operator and tool maker. 17 years ago got my HNC in mechatronics and now working for a small engineering company near where I live in Cambridgeshire.

I have a small myford lathe and a sturdy pillar drill for a mill.

Welcome Andy, you don't play tennis as a side line do you ...wink... be careful with that pillar drill, they are not designed for milling, not built to take the side forces... smile o

George.

Thanks for your welcome.

David, iam not sure what to delve into, I have been searching for a project to take on and will be searching the forum for a small project weather to make at work or if possible at home as well. I have many different machines I can use at work so while I still young (57) I can practically made anything in any material.

George, I wish I had Murray's money so no it's not me he stole my name. The pillar drill is a heavy industry m/c and has been upgraded by my self so not a Bridgeport but suits my needs at the moment.

Andy
