369 forum posts 41 photos | If you want an early classic, try 'An old raincoat won't ever let you down' - 1969 vintage, and one of the tracks is Handbags and Gladrags (made famous much later by the Stereophonics as the theme tune for The Office, and written by Mike D'Abo, lead singer of Manfred Man). Gasoline Alley and Every Picture Tells a Story would be the next two on my list, both early albums. |

10668 forum posts 2415 photos | Rod Stewart was never the same for me after the Kenny Everett parody. The one where the buttocks of Rod's tight leopardskin trousers gradually inflate while he sings If you want my body and you think I'm sexy Now I'm worried I dreamt it and have told you all far too much about my Freudian sub-conscious... Rod's 'pop' records are far more listenable than most of the genre, but the question was "which are best" and I would say it's indisputable that his ballads aren't a patch on his blues or other early stuff. Neil |

. Not an album but a DVD. Has a bit of everything from his early to later material. Should tick all the boxes if you are a Rod fan. Nick |
