![]() 943 forum posts 10 photos | In the workshop.. Possibly more 3D printers & laser cutters. I'm not convinced there are any other industrial technologies that are looming on the horizon that will have made the transition to the Home Workshop in 10 years. Now, in 50 years maybe we'll all have nano fabricators and will be able to manufacture organic materials simply using the air as our source of raw materials. The biggest problem to my eyes is the rapid retreat of the UK population from anything that is awkward, requires concentration, time and personal skills. Most people seem to be determined to turn themselves into passive consumers as fast as possible, then whinge about it on their social network of choice. Regards, Richard |

Even when a local currency collapses people quickly turn to an alternative In Zimbabwe people switched to US dollars and South African Rand In places like Cyprus and Argentina (and the old USSR) millions of people know that the Government can dip into your bank account any time they fancy and the only truly safe easily exchanged money you can possess is cash People in Argentina went to bed on Friday with US$1000 in a bank account and woke up on Monday with 1000pesos in their account, courtesy of the government Edited By Ady1 on 12/10/2013 12:08:05 |
