![]() 464 forum posts 72 photos | Can't say these truck engined B's do much for me, far to heavy up front! The V8 was a much better balanced car that should have been developed much further. I've always admired the RV8 version of the B, the guys who developed it on a very small budget as much as the car itself. It seemed to me that the money ran out just before they got to the rear suspension, that really lets the car down. After the work they did with the front end its a great shame the rear end didn't benefit the same way. John |

No one would follow my Trident with its Norman Hyde 3-1 exhaust, strobing the Boyer ignition at 5000rpm when it was fully advanced tended to annoy some neighbours and bring a cherry glow to the exhaust header pipes. An hours riding like a hooligan made your ears ring. Also being a Motörhead and Ted Nugent fan I am amazed I can still hear at all. Mike Like button pressed.... |

I was thinking of independent suspension, various aftermarket arrangements were (are?) available. I think those suffered from compromises on installation, the back end needed a complete redesign to be able accommodate that type of suspension. I think the Scimitar is a much under rated "classic", buy one now before people realise how good they are! The suspension, independent front (Triumph based) and a beam rear axle works very well when set up properly.
. Sadly, I sold my V6 Coupé in late 1987 after 11years of bliss It was parked-up awaiting a full chassis rebuild and V8 Rover engine ... but I changed jobs and moved house, so it had to go. MichaelG.

222 forum posts 48 photos | They do not need to crash test, just put each car through an IVA test same as Caterham, Westfield etc do for cars they build ready to run for customers. Anyone who builds a kit car has to do the same. Dave |

Mike A neighbour had a Trident, and the first time brother and I heard it we immediately said it sounded like a BRM F1. Geoff - Twos & Blues to hospital end July & in recovery mode. |
