Something mediabiasfactcheck.com probably haven't mentioned about UK Column is that they always use official data or sustantiated data to back up their claims. The Yellow Card info is the official data.
Please stick to engineering, rather than pseudo-science
I'm a bit conflicted here, as responding to this anti-vax stuff just promotes it back to the top of the forum, which is often the intention of those posting it.
Readers with an open mind, please have a have a look here, again at Media Bias Factcheck
https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/uk-column/
Overall, we rate the UK Column a strong right-wing biased conspiracy website that frequently promotes false or misleading information.

History
The UK Column is an alternative multimedia news website and associated British news pamphlet launched in January 2006. UK Column is headquartered in Plymouth in South West England. Mike Robinson is the editor of the UK Column, and Brian Gerrish is the Author/Editor/Owner of the UK Column Newspaper. Further, Brian Gerrish has appeared on US conspiracy theorist Alex Jones’s show.
Then have a look at Media Bias Factcheck, which tends to give a very good analysis of a wide variety of organisations.
Put in a completely different one, with which you are already familiar, and see how the results present.

In this case, almost at the limit towards Tin Foil Hat, and Quackery, with Factual Reporting rated as Very Low.
I don't think I'd trust someone who seems to misrepresent the yellow card scheme either.
How come there is also a rise in heart related deaths in countries such as India, which, as far as I'm aware, has never had much exposure to the effects of mRNA vaccines; could it be because C19 affects the heart in some people?
Back in the real world, and outside that of health conspiracy theorists, there has been some reaction to the good Dr's BBC appearance; I can't imagine what possessed the BBC producer to allow someone onto a broadcast interview about statins, which had so much potential for them to go off piste, without an available expert to counter their gibberish.
The Grauniad's take is reasonable, as it provides a variety of responses;

And one from The Lancet, regarding an earlier event

Perhaps one of the more comprehensive responses I've seen, is this from Health Feedback, and is well worth a read.

I have messaged Kingfisher but their box quantity is 2,000! they do say they do smaller box quantites but how small? Harrison don't do angled in 1/4"
Note that I've amended my previous post to add angled ball oilers.
There are other firms who supply angled drive fit in metric only, e.g. Ashon

It seems that several places don't recommend angles drive in nipples, as the action of use can loosen them.
That said, I can see why you need them for your application.
The two firms above look like they supply, but if you're using them as oilers, rather than grease, the angles ball oilers in this catalogue might be worth considering

As for modifying an extractor, it might be easier to go one side smaller and make an adaptor collar, assuming the end of the crank allows.
That means two threads to cut of course, unless you weld the ring to the new puller.
Which bike is it for; reading between the lines 350 Ducati, but single or twin?
Andrew, How did the engineer in the ATO video do it?
If you view the video on Youtube, they actually provide a link to the ones they sell specifically for the job; albeit in the US not here.
I've not bought one myself, either from ATO, or an AT2 knock-off/clone from China, though like you, I'd not start from there if I had a choice.
I've used an AT1 and other earlier ones with 3 phase motors in my own workshop, along with a ready built Newton Tesla package that came pre-fitted to my Warco 720 when I bought it.

Hi Maurice,
Can you reference a UK goverment document or website that states this please? The Gambling Commision website clearly states
"
You may be able to apply for a single machine permit instead of a gaming machine technical operating licence if you:
collect gaming machines, such as fruit or slot machines as a private individual
want to sell, repair or maintain a single machine or part of a gaming machine.
"
This is an alternative to a full gambling licence, not an option you don't need.
Some have argued that if ONLY you (and not even other members of yor household) use the machine you don't need a licence or permit. This is because you have not made the machine "available". However it is clear that you need a licence or single machine permit to install, repair or maintain (among other things) a gaming machine or part of one. This means for all practical purposes you need a permit because you can't even clean it (maintenence) without one. It is also difficult to show that nobody else uses it.
Like many laws enforcement may be low, but like speeding not getting caught does not make it legal.
Robert G8RPI.
I don't know if there are any actual qualified lawyers on this site who could give an informed opinion.
One problem which sometimes occurs is when people purely rely upon explanatory web pages, even when put out by official government departments; DVLA springs to mind for one, and that page from the gambling commission might be another. Lots of popular tabloid stories seem to rely on this for their scare stories to use as click bait.
To work out what's really applicable one needs to visit the actual legislation, and be sufficiently trained and experienced to be able to apply the correct interpretation, as well as being able to access any relevant case law, and none of that applies to me.
In this case it looks like it might be The Gambling Act 2005
https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2005/19/contents/enacted
In the section regarding Offences, it gives a list, and also the exceptions of when an offence hasn't been committed.
https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2005/19/part/10/crossheading/offences
In sections 242 & 243, "Making Available For Use", or "Maintaining etc". there are exceptions listed for section 248 (amongst others)
248 relates to No Prize
https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2005/19/section/248#text%3Dsingle%20machine%20permit
248 No prize
(1)A person does not commit an offence under section 37 or 242 if—
(a)he makes a gaming machine available for use by an individual, and
(b)the individual does not, by using the machine, acquire an opportunity to win a prize.
(2)The Secretary of State may make regulations creating exceptions from the offence under section 243 in connection with machines which, by virtue of their nature or any other specified matter, are not designed or expected to be used to provide an opportunity to win a prize.
So provided no-one is able to win a prize, then having and repairing a machine, at home where no-one can win a prize would seem OK for the purposes of this act.
There may of course be case law which says otherwise, or I may be far wide of the mark in my interpretation of the act.
I'll stand to be corrected, as the later models might allow different facilities/programming.
I think you need an AT2 VFD, rather than an AT1, though some of the cheaper ones all use the same manual/datasheet and you need to extract the correct information yourself/
The way it used to be
AT-1 220v single phase in ~ 220v three phase out
AT-2 220v single phase in ~ 220v single phase out
AT-3 380v three phase in ~ 380v three phase out
AT-4 220v three phase in ~ 380v three phase out
For the AT-2 I think there are different wiring and programming parameters, depending on whether there is a start capacitor/switch remaining in circuit.
I do know someone who uses/used AT-2 on a single phase motor, but his demo is on a closed Facebook group for home made belt grinders.
He claims it's smooth from 20Hz-160Hz on a 4 pole motor, but said that torque dropped off at about 3750rpm.
Before people start shouting about over-speeding motors, he's checked for what speed they were originally balanced, and doesn't advocate going to 160Hz; this was just an experiment as he had the kit in stock and not a recommendation for others.
If you're buying new, or even second hand for a project, go for 3 phase to start with

They call cutlery 'flatware' over there, don't they?
Rob
Eatin' irons in the West.
Yes and no, traditionally, at least from early 19th Century on, Cutlery cuts; i.e. knives
Whereas flatware is pressed from flat; i.e. forks, spoons and serving utensils.
It looks like it will be worth a visit, interesting that it claims to have been running since 1992 so is it a continuation of the Rex organised shows which were very good. I shall plan a visit to Yorkshire and take in the show, a 380 mile round trip is rather a long day trip so I will make a short break of it.
Mike
Hmmmm, Established in 1992 doesn't mean running since 1992
Harrogate Model Engineering Exhibition
"Established in 1992 it’s the UKs favourite and probably the Best Model Engineering Exhibition in the calendar. Presented by The Events Office who organised the Harrogate Model Engineering Exhibition from 1993 to 2009 and advised till 2015. Club and Society Stands with a diverse range of models covering all aspects of model Engineering. Trade area selling everything from a small bolt to a complete steam locomotive."
Competent person? That would be covered here so it seems to be not so woolly after all. Says the man who was a competent person to fit a 13A plug and had a card to prove it. Yes really!
......................
Yes I did a full day's internal works course for that myself, and came away with the relevant certificate.
The very last part of the course covered that we were now not allowed to insert the plug into a socket, until we had booked an appointment, travelled to a different location and had it PAT approved by our local tester.
Someone on high had deemed it ridiculous that us engineers couldn't fit a plug, but hadn't quite thought it through.
Similarly the testing engineer was told that any mains equipment, not supplied via our official stores catalogue, must have the plug cut off and be skipped, other wise he would be formally disciplined as breaching the company's H&S rules; He then pointed out that would also include his PAT machine.
Ho Hum.

The local authority will give EVERY house a number which the owner is legally obliged to use. […]
Even if it exists, somewhere … I am totally unaware of my house number !
The local authority, and the utility companies, and Land Registry, ALL refer to it by name.
Can you please point me to the legislation ?

I'd put the kettle on and make a whole pot of tea, as one cup might not provide the sustenance required to work your way through this Hansard excerpt, and then to search the quoted legislation and all the cross references.

My problem is slightly different, we live at House No.5 @ Postcode.
Unfortunately, after it was built, House No1 was demolished and re-built as a small block of flats' but retained the same postcode as the building plot already existed; two houses away, so the same postcode as ours.
We now sometimes fail to get post, which I suspect has been delivered to House No1 Apartment 5 @ the same postcode.
The flat has now been sold, but not yet re-occupied; the previous owner was a very interesting ex-engineer, who unfortunately was developing dementia, so had no idea whether anything had been delivered for us.
Can't be much help I'm afraid; just been in contact with a friend of mine, in Cornwall, who until recently was an aeronautical tech of some sort, on current RAF aircraft.
He's never seen anything like it, but wondered if it might have originated in a wooden framed plane, such as a Mosquito or Wellington.
What's the larger item which houses it?

Aha !
You need to know how to drive Espacenet
There is a 3-dot icon, which opens a menu … one item being Download
MichaelG.
.
Wait a few moments and I will add a screenshot:
Sussed what was going on now.
On the page I linked to, there was a section for External Links, one of which is to Espacenet, (along with Global Dossier, and Discuss.)
Unfortunately when I tried it earlier, all it took me to was a blank white page.
I'm using Opera as a browser on W10, and for some reason, occasionally hyperlinks don't open correctly, returning just a blank page, sometimes with just a few adverts.
On closing that new tab, and re-clicking the original link, the full page is then usually displayed.
This time it didn't work, but re-booting Opera now allows me to get to the patent.
I was getting stuck before I even got as far as your screenshot
This link took me to a blank page.
There is a hyperlink on ‘your’ page … direct to Espacenet
… Job done, isn’t it ?
MichaelG.
Yes it is, as far as identification of the gizmo, but as far as I could make it work, it only shows an abstract, rather than the details of the actual patent.
that is, there's some words and a description there, but the diagrams etc seem to be missing.
Another edit
Only just realised my later added comment was in a reply to you specifically, whereas I intended it to be a general reply for anyone who wished to explore further.
