I am member of a photographic club, we have an understanding that you never put your gear in the car and then walk away from it, and if you can lock your boot even when you're in the car.

I am at present trying to phone my local hospital. I rang at 9.05am, I was told that I was 3rd in line. I'm still on the phone and have just been told by automated voice that I am now 15th in line. Tried on line and can only find the same phone number.

My winter fuel allowance was paid into my bank last Monday. I got the letter from DWP this dinner time. I got the (scam) e-mail this morning and deleted it without opening it. Also, it's the first time that the letter has not been in a brown envelope.

I remember going to Skinningrove rolling mill with about forty other nine year olds in the mid forties.We were staying at Staithes on school holiday

Imagine today a group of youngsters on the rolling mill floor watching them making railway rails, no hard hats or safety boots

Considering that the hole in a Thorntons cutter is 7mm, how on earth have you managed to bend the arbor?

Andrew. Could you post a photo of the offending wheel and pinion in mesh to let us see what's happening. Are you using a depthing tool. Or trying to mesh them in measured holes. You say that you are using an M1wheel cutter and a M0.9 x 7 leaf pinion cutter. It should work

The module of the pinion cutter is usually 0.05 smaller than that of the wheel cutter. The dimensions of the pinion are worked out using the larger wheel module. This gives slightly thicker roots to the pinion tooth for strength.

0.343 inches is about right diameter. Are you using a 7 tooth pinion cutter?

Depth of cut recommended by Thorntons is 2.7mm about 0.106 inches

I find it easier to work in metric when cutting wheels and pinions. Any other time I tend to work in imperial
