Can’t you just measure the pod? And as for the register it’s not the size that matters it’s the FIT! |

With the size of most model parts sanding would surely out of the question and the system of painting wet on wet ensures coats stick to one another. |

Thread: Collet chuck drawbar for ML7 |

Make a long top hat bushing so that it sticks out beyond the gear cover (easier to spanner the nut), also make the spindle portion about an inch long and a good fit in the spindle so it rotates nicely not wobbling about and setting up an unwanted vibration. |
Thread: Making HSS form tools |

surely it must be easier to form your shapes in 01 then harden and polish and then temper? |
Thread: fixing loose valve guide |

Thread: Milling narrow slot on Myford lathe |

I make mine with a slitting saw using a cross drilling jig that’s mounted on the crosslide, it only takes a few minutes and if you use an 1/8 saw you can go either side to get your 210. |
Thread: Key for a Cowells lathe chuck |
26/05/2022 08:40:31 |
Hollow point, I notice in your pics that you say that the left and centre keys are cowells but they are different shapes, the one in the centre looks like Jacobs pattern. If the one on the left is correct it can’t be that difficult to copy especially as you need 3 and several other people as well. The body of key with the teeth could be separate to the spigot which could be fitted with loctite later. Just a suggestion. |
Thread: Between centres boring bar bit grinding |
24/05/2022 22:48:25 |

How do you manage to break a commercially made T slot cutter??? |
Thread: This trolley/cart could be useful |
20/05/2022 13:50:00 |
I suspect that if you put 100kg on it you would have a hard job to move it over a rough surface and as for having deeply treaded tyres ,what makes the difference none of the wheels are drivers. Instead of a rubbish sales pitch it would have been better to attend English lessons. |
