Thread: Estimated selling price of a Myford VMB mill?
27/04/2015 10:07:05

list it on eBay when you get free listing, start the bidding at the price you want for it, it may sell or it may not or you may get more than you want, if i was selling it i would start at a thousand pounds, list it for 10 days. if it is not sold i would re-list it buy now for a thousand pounds for a month. if its not sold by then you know its worth less.

Thread: chuck thread size
26/04/2015 17:34:47

if is the chuck with the built in thread its not worth much and if was mine i would bin it. bee caught out with chuck thread sizes before. sold a southbend chuck to someone with a boxford lathe and it came back. it screwed on nearly all the way but not all the way.

Thread: Which bench lathe do I need ?
22/04/2015 10:06:07

I bought a warco lathe and a spent more time replacing broken parts than i did using it. broken gears, belts at £24.00 a time cross feed nuts were as soft a cheese gad to make my own in the end out of bronze. scraped it and bought a boxford.
