![]() 694 forum posts 2 photos | I noticed in another model engineering magazine that the model engineering division of Arrand is up for sale as Mr Jackson is lightening his work load after 54 years. This is not good news for model engineers. Arrand products are of superb quality - I have had several of their tool holders and boring head for some years all giving total satisfaction. One more British manufacturer going leaving us with little option other than but to buy yet more imported items of dubious quality.

248 forum posts 22 photos | Yes it is a shame. I also have a few Arrand products (boring heads, quick change tail stock tooling system, lathe and milling insert tool holders). I can't recommend them highly enough. Lambton - Thanks for posting this. It alerted me to the situation and I just ordered a couple of other small items that I had planned to purchase later this year or perhaps next. Lets hope someone takes it over.

2805 forum posts 219 photos | No answer to their phone (01664 454566) today so I suppose this excellent firm may well have ceased to function. I wanted to ask about their QC tail stock tooling as mentioned by SteveI; I should be glad to see a photo and to know how it works. I'm guessing the interchangeable holders are held on a short taper but have no idea as to how they would be held? Arrand items sometimes turn up on eBay but I have never seen the tail stock tooling offered. |

Did you know that BSA Machine Tools are still with us, exporting all round the World. Terry. Unfortunately -according to google - they died in 2015 |

2805 forum posts 219 photos | BSA: I was using one of their counterbores the other day and thinking how good it was. It is far too late for me to edit my post of 30 July last about Arrand tailstock tooling but, re-reading it, I can see that I meant to say *located* on a short taper. I'm still hoping that a user will come forward with some information. |

![]() 523 forum posts 95 photos | Hello all. Does anyone know if Arrand closed ? I have been looking to buy a new ( or used ) MT3 imperial boring head, and whilst trying to follow the good advice as to buy the best you can afford there does not seem to be much choice apart from the imported stuff. I have found a couple of places saying they are selling Arrand units, but i thought they closed a long time ago, unless they are selling old stock, Thanks for any advice. |

1 forum posts | For anyone wondering, you can still buy tools directly from Arrand, Telephone number 01664 454566 as mentioned above is correct. |

443 forum posts 1 photos | Just an update on Arrand, the above number is correct and they still have stocks of some tooling. I bought a centre drill holder for my quick change tail stock tool today. Best regards Mick |
