![]() 23121 forum posts 1360 photos | This may be the most important Engineering book you ever read. It discusses the very foundation of Precision Engineering. ... It's short, but very sweet. MichaelG. . P.S. If you want the PDF, do not use the GoogleBooks (PDF) link ... use the All Files link at the bottom of the list instead. Edited By Michael Gilligan on 01/12/2013 21:50:09 |

![]() 4318 forum posts 291 photos 1 articles | Thanks for the pointer. Could you work out how to get the pdf from Google? They seem to be removing them hand over fist How curious. One Author is Charles Percy Bysshe Shelley. Percy Bysshe Shelley was not his father, however, dying before he was born, and: "Three children survived Shelley: Ianthe and Charles, his daughter and son by Harriet; and Percy Florence, his son by Mary. Charles, who suffered from tuberculosis, died in 1826 after being struck by lightning during a rainstorm. Percy Florence, who eventually inherited the baronetcy in 1844, died without children. The only lineal descendants of the poet are therefore the children of Ianthe." (wikipedia) Grace's Guide has two obituaries of our man, but no mention of a connection to the poet. Neil |

Thanks for the pointer. Could you work out how to get the pdf from Google? They seem to be removing them hand over fist . Neil, Sorry, perhaps my P.S. was not sufficiently detailed Go to the All Files link at the bottom of the list: That returns a directory of all the available file types including the PDF that Google would have you believe is not available ... This approach works for many of the PDFs that Google has "disappeared". If you're really keen, there is even the TIFF from the original scans: This gives usefully better resolution of the Plates [although nothing to compare with the original print that I have been reading at 'John Rylands' in Manchester] MichaelG. ![]() 4318 forum posts 291 photos 1 articles | Michael, the dates are almost right for Eward Shelley Bart.(Born the same year, dead a year earlier). As his obituaries don't mention any connection to blue blood, i have to assume he was on one of the minor branches of the clan. Why am I worrying about this???? Neil |
