In the last few days when reading the various posts a highlighted word that seems like a link is a pop up with nothing to do with the subject being discussed.

Example scratchcards to name one.

The pop up blocker does no good is there a simple solution to stop them.

I've not noticed that - can you quote a specific thread and post please?

My post about popups had two blue underlined words that had pop ups I turned the forum off then switched it on again and the words were normal.

It has done this on other threads it is an anoyance.

Hi There

I seem to get this with Internet Explorer all the time.

I used to use adaware to remove rubbish like this but since it know does not like Norton.

regards David

Hi,

The solution is local so you need to follow Michael's first link to Adblock and install as an extension. I have Adblock 2.12 on FireFox and this cured the problem.

David, apparently you can block 'Infolinks' on IE without any extension or add-on. Go to Michael's first link and scroll down to the instructions for IE.

Regards

Terry
