Can anyone point me in the right direction for scale people to compliment a 2" model.

Not sure about the scale but architects use model people in smaller scales for their models of buildings. Be prepared for a big hit in the wallet though!

If you mean 2" :1ft ie 1/6th scale, it's a recognised scale for military figure modelling - think £50 - £100 per figure. Otherwise have a look at the range of figures made by Preisser (?) for model railways, and also model race track figures.

Best bet might be the local toyshop or market toy stall or the charity shops - how tall was Action Man and Barbie and Ken?

You might have to take up (miniature) tailoring though!!!!!

As Keith says the better quality "action man" type 1/6th scale action figures figures are what you need, you will probably have to get your sowing kit out to make him suitable clothing before you can sit him on your plough. Harry Williams uses one of these figures on his Ploughing demo setup.

General reply

Thanks all for your help, theres a minefield out there in 1/6th scale figures, mostly military & as Steve mentioned costly.

Need three for the plough Jason, strange how 1/6th scale does look a bit big ie,12" tall.

try S&D mouldings

I saw a lot of large scale figures at the narrow gauge show at Shepton Mallet today

normally unpainted are the cheapest.

David, Another source of 1/6 scale figures can be found in Artist Supply Shops. They have little wooden mannequin figures with movable, joints which are about 12 inches tall. They are not expensive (if you shop around, try e-bay). They give a sense of scale and probably look best if you leave then in the raw.

All scale is relative as far as humans are concerned I was regarded as tall for my age in the 50s and now do not come up to my youngest grandsons shoulders aged 18. so would be worthwhile takeing this into consideration.
