Model Engineer will be increasing its cover price to £3.20 from issue 4424.
Model Engineers' Workshop will be increasing its cover price to £4.20 from issue 189.
Subscriptions are not affected yet, I don't know if or when they will go up.
You can renew your subscription early and it will be added to the existing subscription.
Two year subscriptions are available at a reduced rate for UK subscribers.
Now is the time to get a subscription before they rise in price as well.
Model Engineer works out at £2.12 per issue and MEW is £3.23 (both prices are for direct debit subscriptions).
The thing about direct debit is that if we want to increase the price, we have to write and tell you. We are unlikely to do this as we would not want to risk losing you as a subscriber so if you subscribe by direct debit, the price is unlikely to go up in the forseeable future.

As you mentioned subscriptions in your post perhaps you can answer a question. I have just this morning received the latest MEW, March 2012 issue #187, all fine so far but the wrapper says MEW188. The question is, does my subscription run out when MHS thinks it does or does it run out when the people who send it out thinks it does?

That I know but what about the number difference between your lot and the mailing dept?

The number difference is because a plans special was introduced into the sequence about 5 years ago.
This had the effect of increasing the number on the bag by one.
Damn nuisance but nothing I can do about it.

Me again, my subscription runs out with issue 188, this is why I require to know if I will receive that issue or whether the subs dept think it has already been sent.

How can I find out or check when my 2 year subscription expires? I have forgotten when I took it out and cannot even remember how I paid.
I have not done a thorough search on this before asking so I apologise in advance for being lazy.

Your subscription runs out with the April issue.
The last one you will receive will be issue 188.
This should tie in with your renewal.
