Many years ago our Bank manager [remember them?!!] was called Lenderyou
Was his christian name BOB Bank managers - they seem to be collectors items these days My father visited his quite often I recall in the old days - he approved of his sherry. Bob is very good - I've been struggling to make a joke out of Mark. How the other half live! I've never been given sherry by a Bank Manager. Had a letter from one once, 'please do not anticipate your credit...' Dave

![]() 157 forum posts 29 photos | As a teenager opening my first bank account in the 70's I was interviewed by the local branch manager of Barclays to see if I was worthy of their services... When the manager asked me why I'd chosen to bank with them, I confidently replied "Because may father barks at Banklays!" doh! Edited By Graham Stoppani on 05/03/2022 11:34:51 |

1346 forum posts 15 photos | I remember seeing on "That,s life" there was an Estate Agent named Robin Bastard. I,m not joking, even Ester laughed at it. I often wondered how he stayed in business with a name like that, but perhaps people regarded him as an "Honest" man ? As far as I remember, he was very sucessful, so, what,s in a name ? |
