Maybe the "bistella" or "two star" name represents reliability on a 0-100 stars scale - cause this thing is not going to be reliable. Pretty, but not reliable.(and probably a guzzler too) Just my opinion.

Perhaps that is why the max power has been reduced from a calculated max of 120hp to 12hp for safety reasons, nevertheless it is an exciting project and so different to most other one off-bikes.

Madness, utter madness! For a 500cc bike it has 9 too many cylinders!

I'm sure some will have come across this chap before, but it's always worth checking out Allen Millyard's Youtube channel.
Some of the other videos go into more detail of how he machines his projects.
e.g. making a V twin Velo, adding two more cylinders to a straight four, building a V12 etc.



I quite like the casual way he mentions that he couldn't get this creation to run on SU carbs, so he designed and made his own specials.

A wonderful achievement, some adventure too well done

Most of the time "custom" bike builders are just adding someone else's prefabricated parts to a bike. More project manager than engineer. But this guy gives Alan Millyard a run for his money. Thanks for sharing.
