3 forum posts | Hi all I have been a mechanical engineer most of my life and now have the time to learn a new skill which I can do at home. Some thing I have wanted to do from the start. I am looking for a Warco WM 180 lathe in good condition to get me started on the long path to making stuff. Cheers Mike |

![]() 2320 forum posts 452 photos | Assuming the SC3 in the classified ads is in good order I would think it a good buy for someone. Comes with tooling and has had some mods/upgrades and at a very fair price. If I was starting out I would be interested for sure. . |

Cheers Mike I think you'll have to be at least a bit lucky. You will have a reason for having decided on that specific machine, its popularity is *relatively* recent, and those who've followed the same line of thought won't be thinking of selling unless disappointed, or their requirements have changed. NDIY's right - if that's what you want, a wanted advert is probably the way to post it. |

3 forum posts | Many thanks everyone I will have a look at the SC3. Just typical after some research to have gone for the Warco which is the least likely to find second hand. I had hopped to have visited some shows this year to have a look at whats what and more importantly have a chat with those who use them. Thanks again |
