The funniest bit about the article is the missus (who is a nurse) took him to the hospital where she works, so her colleges could also laugh at her astrophysicst boyfriend.

I think many of have done similarly stupid things, when the pursuit of some objective temporarily obscured visibility of the bleedin' obvious. I know I have.

But I think I was about 23 the last time I did so. I was medium-lucky not to be seriously injured, but I'm not gonna tell you what I did...

Thanks. Sent to my Nephew who works at La Trobe, the rather better University in Melbourne. However his MIL works at UniMelb and probably knows the guy.

I had the experience as a young man about town of thinking I may have an STD. (I'm glad to say it was entirely possible ). Not wanting to bump into any vet clients I chose to attend a special clinic in the next town rather than where I worked. Of course all my clients had decided to avoid their home town too.

Anonymity was destroyed by greetings of 'Hello MrK - you too?'

Says in the article that warns you when you touch your face”.

Isn’t that too late?🙂
