Doncaster ME Show.

Has anybody got any info regarding the Doncaster Show. Has it been canceled or postponed? No info on their web site concerning the implications of the virus.

It might even be postponed until next spring! Anyone else with a better crystal ball?

I was wondering about this too. Seems unlikely it will go ahead now. Though that's just a guess.

I am sorry I can confirm the Doncaster Exhibition has been cancelled. This is a wise and very brave decision by the organisers who I am sure will be well out of pocket having spent on publicity etc.
CuP are currently considering ways to soften the blow for their customers, government restrictions allowing. Please watch this space.

Unfortunately no one has thought to update the various web pages advertising the event. Checked this morning and both the Doncaster Show Site and Eventbrite don't say anything. The Facebook page is still firmly stuck on 2019!

Current restrictions do make it fairly obvious though that the show cannot go ahead. Unless a video-link event can be set up. So lets say definitely

Whilst you may well be right, I don't think you should be posting that the show is definitely cancelled.

I think it's pretty obvious that it won't happen, unless the virus mutates and gets sucked into the stratosphere to be destroyed*.

Well I am quite happy for the Moderators to take the post down if necessary but the show organisers seem, well, a little disorganised the website and Facebook page has not been updated at all. Come to that the front page of this illustrious forum is still advertising the show!

Shaun Meakin 1, do they have any plans to re schedule the event to later in the year?

I paid for tickets in February and yesterday got an email from Eventbrite saying they were returning my money because the show has been cancelled.

Hi Alan, we have been offered a refund of monies paid. This, along with the fact we don't know how long the restrictions will apply plus the schedule at Doncaster Racecourse would, if I had to guess, lead me to say it won't be rearranged this year. All we can do is hope and pray for a speedy ending to this dreadful virus and a return to normality. Glen and I at CuP are working alternate days and so strictly observing social distancing whilst keeping supplies open. Keep safe everyone.
