![]() 2668 forum posts 352 photos | My mate builds old BSA motorcycles. He is called Dars motorcycles. & I have had a few myself. Mine was a B33 clubmans that I rebuilt 1954. Also had a Bantam D14-4 with George tod head & 376 amel. I snapped the crank when over reving so fitted a Villiers 2T in the frame. . My friend has many of the BSA marque. Currently on the road he has a 1948 plunger, B31 converted to 33 spec. A B33 1954 in mint condition shortly coming up for sale. A A65 which is mint. A 500 BDB34 Goldstar in touring trim with the Standard gearing in with belt drive & Suzuki clutch. Starts at the 1st kick again in beautiful condition, with modified GP carb so has a slow running jet. Hope you get it up & running. A preferred model to the Triumph of which I had many. He sold his last Goldie to an American chap for £20,000 Regards. Steve. P.S there were a few mods to that model of BSA that saved the crank from failing. Edited By Steviegtr on 24/01/2020 02:36:04 |

![]() 9 forum posts 3 photos | Neil, Busy for sure. What a shame it would be to let this poor girl end up on the scrap heap. Steviegtr. You know that there is no known cure for a Brit Bike addiction. I would love to hear more about your crankshaft mods, maybe in the motor area? I'm still finding my way (and getting side tracked) about the site! Larry, Thank you for your kind offer. You know what a disadvantage we're at over here for parts and prices . Hopefully I will be up and running soon. I don't have a tail-stock yet so can't tell how straight the poor girl is. |

![]() 9 forum posts 3 photos | Larry, Yup, there's hope for the girl. Thanks again Gerard, When I say A10 in reality its a box of bits which the missus can understand my attraction to. I'm planning to build a Super Rocket replica with alternator and Norton primary. Won't make the rivet counters happy thought. What are you riding yourself? Steamdave, Thanks for the link. I had great plans for this evening but I will chalk it down to "research" and no doubt will wander back over later for another look. Harry, Its not as if I don't have enough to do around here. Suppose it's keeping out of the pub |
