![]() 2312 forum posts 112 photos | Hello Neil and welcome. I started out with a Myford 'M' and very good it was too, apart from the 'backwards' saddle travel. I soon got used to it but it was a devil to adjust to a 'normal' lathe when I upgraded to a Mitchell 6 1/2" Brian |

7227 forum posts 21 photos | Welcome! Lots of help available on here. Wherebouts are you located? Have you joined a Model Engineering club yet? The M series are handy little machines; quirky, but useful. The "wrong Way" Saddle operation takes a bit of getting used to, but is OK once you remember which way to turn the handle and how to set up the changewheels! Howard |
