Is it a maximum of 35, 36 or 40? Or just the editorial discretion?

Not sure what the tilde (~) means in this context.

Thank you. That seems sensible.

The editor uses a great deal of discretion! A significant proportion of readers filling in paper forms get creative with ways to exceed the word limit, so I might as well let emailers have some flexibility (after all I don't have to retype their contributions... which also means fewer typos and mis-read phone numbers)

It's the monthly call again, ads have been very thin on the ground over Christmas. Time to get rid of those old tools that have been replaced by Santa and his elves

Please get your ads in by around about ~ midday Thursday-ish

.

Serious question, Neil :

What should we do do instead of ticking the ‘preference boxes’ ?

I have an advert on the forum Sales which [having had zero interest] I may wish to repeat in print.

I assume you will already have set your preferences in your forum profile. So for sending me classifieds they are superfluous.

MTM may check paper slips for marketing preferences when they pass through, but that's up to them.

May I please ask that the seller's email also be included in their post?

Those of us not in the UK may be interested, but would prefer to communicate in writing.

What's the cut off date Neil? I'd like to separate the sections of my 10" shaper so that I can indicate what maximum weight the parts are for the aid of any potential victim/buyer

Err... in an hour or so ish?

Just put 'call for details of weights etc.' in the ad.

But I'd hope anyone buying a 10" shaper would realise it's not one handed lift or second class post...

The shaper is now trundling away to its new home. Very fast response, the same day that the magazines came out. smiley
