7517 forum posts 20 photos | One can either copy that listing to one’s bookmark list or mark it on the epay watchlist. Either way works but epay clearly prefer the latter as they stand to gain from that! The seller doesn’t know it is being watched, if the former. I watch to check whether some items, ridiculously priced, actually sell. Even when relisted, again and again (sometimes the price comes down to a sensible level). Some to keep abreast of current market values. Sometimes to collect together several different options on the same item to compare specs, prices, value for money etc. There is little incentive to remove those watched items, so sometimes I don’t bother. Seller’s problems are theirs, not mine. I watch what I choose, with no consideration to the potential seller. |

Talking about rediculously priced, this **LINK** has been coming up for several years off and on - delusions of grandeur possibly??

Talking about rediculously priced, this **LINK** has been coming up for several years off and on - delusions of grandeur possibly?? That's nothing! You could buy over a dozen of those for the price of this book, and still have change: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Antique-1907-Russian-Empire-book-Gas-oil-other-internal-combustion-engines/183665321481?hash=item2ac34e6609:g:y8kAAOSweI1cVNYe I contacted the seller to find out what makes it so much more valuable than the English language equivalent which typically sells for about £20, but for some reason haven't had a reply. ![]() 1494 forum posts 403 photos | "Why do people want to watch - is it just curiosity ?" There must be lots of reasons. My main reason for doing it apart from wanting to buy it is to find out the potential value of my gear . lts also a good way of bookmarking similar BIN items when looking for a good price.- shopping around as it were. George May have forgotten to convert from Russian Roubles - 14,499 = £170.00, sounds more acceptable - Ish. |

What puzzles me is having just listed, I have 3 watchers on two of my items. Why do people want to watch - is it just curiosity ? I sometimes watch items I don't need urgently or might need in the future, especially if I have had difficulty finding it so I don't need to memorise the search term or exact name or its something that also throws up lots of unrelated results (like stay hinge). I prefer to do this than put in my basket as when I come to buy I will usually check I have a the best deal/quickest delivery etc. Periodically I clean out my watch list. Neil
