2444 forum posts 139 photos | Looks a bit contradictory to me. The loopy bit on the far end looks like an auto toolchanger carousel thingy, but the handwheel in the window shrieks 'manual'. Somebody'll maybe give us a clue eventually. |

750 forum posts 37 photos | It's the Syil X7 with 12 tool changer, the big 4th (that's the hand wheel on the tailstock!) , Siemens 808d Advanced controller and Siemens servos and drives, the factory were very kind in including the laser ballscrew mapping at no extra charge. |

![]() 7881 forum posts 397 photos | Impressive indeed. I can't even begin to think what that machine cost. Makes the debate about used Myfords prices pale away. What will you use it for? Some commercial ventures or purely home hobby stuff? |
Nick Hulme | 12/03/2019 09:52:26 |
750 forum posts 37 photos | Although I did look at Tormach and Skyfire at the start of this journey I don't think the X7 is intended as competition for either, the X7 is far more rigid and massive and has a base casting, not a stand. It is my personal machine and will be used for motorcycle parts for me but I will be doing some commercial work with it, the commercial stuff is covered by NDAs so I'm not at liberty to give details without the permission of the IP owners until the products are released into the UK market. |
