J&S 540 Manual PDF

Hi just bought a Jones and Shipman 540 surface grinder would anyone have a copy of the manual or data on what oil and maintenence it needs please.

I have but they want £65 for one and £55 for the other i think i have found one for £9.95 a bargain thank you.

well ... since you now have a copy, why don't you upload a link to it so other people can benefit, rather than having to pay the other side of £50 for something which is, essentially, free, from someone who is, in the nicest possible way (because I do value the lathes.co.uk site), a copyright opportunist.

when i have it i will gladly send anyone who needs a copy a link so hey can download it.

I have now bought the Spare parts manual if anyone needs a PDF copy please let me know.

Recently done a maintenance job on mine.....cleaned out tank, replaced hydraulic oil, took bed off and cleaned out oil feeds, replaced spindle oil etc.

Fairly easy job, found oil grade info online, rest was common sense, so no manual required.

Having never used one, controls were easy enough to figure out without a manual.

Wheel balancing info is available on youtube amongst other places.

So unless you intend delving deeper into the works, reckon a manual is not a must.

Saying all that, a week or so after finishing the job, i found an original manual hiding in the back of the wheel balancing cabinet

Could I have a copy of that manual plz. Just purchased a 540 and it needs some tlc
