Am I right to assume there is no December issue of MEW? normally it arrives by post but nothing this month.

The "December " issue was 275, which you would have received in late November or thereabouts, depending where you are situated - you have no public profile - and the latest issue - No. 276 - is out now, plopping through letter boxes as you read this, along with a myriad of Christmas cards, no doubt. See the banner at the top of this page.

No, an issue every 4 weeks.

It was being printed last week so ideally arriving soon after Christmas, four weeks after the previous issue, but it may be held up a bit by the volume of post at this time of year.

Just for info, I have just received in this mornings post MEW 276. It's a little late but as Neil mentioned it is Xmas.

My # 276 just arrived this morning, not overly worried within a day or two as long as it arrives.

At my dad's so I haven't seen it yet.

@Maurice your digital issue should be ready to download since over a week ago.

I've checked and the system knows you have a valid digital subscription.

Yiur notification might have ended up in your spam folder?

I have issue 274, then nothing until 277 that arrived today? Was there no issue's 275 and 276? I've had MEW since issue 6 and never had a problem getting my copy from my newsagents. I had assumed that by subscribing it would make life easier, seems bloody unreliable if my experience is anything to go by. Won't be subscribing once this subscription runs out.

I don't think it's a general problem if you're in the UK. I get both ME and MEW by post and only one has ever gone missing. A bulk consignment of MEWs to the South West got lost in transit and upset a lot of people in my area. Perhaps I'm just lucky!

Hi Nigel,

I'm sorry to hear you've missed two issues.

If you contact customer service on 01604 828 748 or [email protected] they will arrange for replacement issues to be sent to you.

In most cases where the same person has issues not turn up we tend to suspect someone along the 'chain' is helping themselves to their magazines. This often resolves itself but if it happens again there are things we can do that may improve reliability of delivery.

It was ME not MEW, the GPO lost a whole bagful.

Other than that, the proportion of readers reporting missing issues is minute. Even when there was a postal strike for several months in South Africa, most people finally got the copies we sent out in the end.

This is why we tend to think that someone who has several issues go missing may have someone looking out for their copies each month and swiping them. Obviously that's little comfort to those subscribers affected but we can usually get something sorted.

I'm sure you're right. My memory is TERRIBLE! This is just the most recent example. I've lost my marbles. Has anyone seen my marbles?

As advised, I've contacted customer services over the missing issues 275 and 276.

So they've sent me 2 issues of issue 275 surprise

As Victor Meldrew would say "I don't bloody believe!"

Thank god I've cancelled the subscription.

One of those might be the original one turning up late. If a 276 doesn't appear by the end of the week, let me know by email.

Thanks Neil, but I've cancelled the subscription and requested a refund of the outstanding balance. I've still got the last 270 issues so I'll start from the begining again, I'm sure there's something of interest that I could have missed.
