Hello I am new forum, I am not sure which thread to start, I like to collection Mamod, Wilesco and etc steam model.

Four weeks ago, I saw a website it sell different types of steam model from www.sussexsteam.co.uk, that I am interest to buy a model, I have been contact to them by email no answer, I try call by phone no answer and left them a message no answer.

My mate reckon the man may have die of illness as their website was last update in 2011 and mentioned his health condition. Do anyone know if this trade is still in the business?

thanks

Fab.

Fabiano - I have one of their Beam engine kits, unused. If that should be what you are looking at? It has the pre-soldered boiler also. For sale at half price if you would like it

The wife of Sussex Steam owner is very seriously ill and the business is moribund at the moment. MiniSteam maybe taking up some of their designs in the future.

Rod. I would be interested in your beam engine kit if Fabiano doesn't want it.

Hi everyone

I have also just come across Sussex Steam and I am sorry to hear the owner's wife is seriously ill. Has anyone heard anything further?

I would love to purchase and build their beam engine and boiler kits. Has anyone had any further contact with Sussex Steam?

Does anyone have any Sussex Steam kits available to sell?

Thanks

Hello Sorry for late reply,

This is the grandson of John, I am hoping to soon start producing the parts and kits again, I will try to update the website ASAP but i need to learn how to make the parts so it may take a few months/ years.

Yours Sincerely,

Will

Bank transfer doesn't give customers any comeback in the event of issues; I would politely suggest you find a method for people to pay via card, paypal etc as although your current circumastances are entirely understandable, it does mean that the state of flux means people may be less confident paying for expensive items in a way which means their money could disappear if any further issues crop up.

You have some nice items, I look forward to seeing the site evolve.

I totally agree John. I would not buy on bank transfer terms for any item. Paypal is a very easy system to set up for business and personal use. As you say many people would be put off unless there was recourse to a dispute system.
