Sorry gentlemen. Should have searched for 5.5 a/f not 3mm. My bad.

Having trouble sourcing M3 (5,5) simple flat spanners. Been on the net for some time and cannot find either single spanners or even single 3&4 mm double ended. Except in one case and they where out of stock.

Please offer me your source if you should have found one.

I have Warco 1hp motor with soft start and reversing, also comes with the Warco lamp. £130 collected SE Hants if it would help.

Well done Ian - Waiting patiently for your tutorials.

The 3d surfacing (spline to spline loft) transferred to Estlcam without any hesitation and produced the gcode for both PLanetCNC and Mach3.

Ian - Yes I was a little effusive perhaps, but I was actually still keen enough to work through much of the evening. I have my usual Estlecam to download to, which should compliment the Solid Edge output for the Mach3 and Planet CNC machine controls. Need to test it with heavy 3d surfacing files, but do not expect any problems. Will advise if any arise.

Ian - Thank you for the lead on Solid Edge. I downloaded it this morning and have spent the day re-orientating myself from years with Solidworks.

If this deal (free) is real. Then this must be the dogs wallongas of free 3Dcad.. Takes a bit of effort finding things at first, but very inclusive as you begin to get the hang of it. - Shame they do not offer the Cam package also.

I have an Elliott Progress No.1 MK2 benchtop pillar type. But it is without a base casting or table casting. All working apart from that.

If of any interest to anyone it can go for very little cash.

Gentlemen. I am refurbing a Mk. 2 Progress Model 1 bench drill.

It has the MT No. 1 taper and No. 6J nose for the chuck. In the spindle there is a drift slot and a knurled threaded ring under that. Is this ring for locking down on something, or for bearing down on the chuck for removal. The arbor tang does not extend into the drift slot? How then to remove the arbor and chuck please?

Do not have double wedge set. If that is the method. But could make.

The wage bill of admin staff in all the current energy companies, plus the profits made by those companies must provide a sound financial footing for at least one unitary company to be initiated. Competition has not delivered.

A standard charge programme and standardised meters that actually work for the consumer and not just for the supplier, surely would be feasible. Add to that some possibility of actual conversation with the sole supplier and you must have a winner? (for the consumer)

The government should take back the whole industry. At least we would all be ripped off equally. The existing profits would surely make it a cost effective exercise.

Anyone using a power supply company that you can actually communicate with?

Tried for a long time to get my Starturn 5 slant bed to perform with Denford software. Gave up and converted to Mach 3 and laterly to PlanetCNC. Never looked back. Excellent machines.
