Hi

My father partly (I reckon 80% at least) built a scale model Minnie traction engine.

He also left:-

A Clayton steam wagon boiler (with test certificate)

A "Real" Vertical Steam engine kit. (i.e. castings)

I would like to sell these items and would welcome valuations and the best possible way to sell.

Many thanks

Campbell Grant

Hi Grant,

The classifieds on here do work well, or you may reach more people if you send me a classified for insertion in our magazines. Details are at the bottom of this page:

www.model-engineer.co.uk/editorial/page.asp?p=250

Both are free, unlike eBay

Neil

Many sincere thanks for your replies.

Before I advertise, a realistic valuation of the items would be helpful. Please can you advise?

Many thanks

Campbell Grant

BTW, I would have introduced myself in the relevant forum, but I do not have the necessary skills, nor the tools to be a model engineer and therefore felt it waste of time.

Photos of what you have might help establish a rough value for each.

Hi Hopper

I will endeavour to oblige ASAP! My son has the photos already, but I need to learn how to upload.

Hi

I have tried repeatedly to send the photos via the email addresses given to me, but I keeping getting a message saying that they are undeliverable. Every photo was sent individually. VERY FRUSTRATING!

Each of the photos are 6meg in size, surely the email servers that are used by the forum can handle this???

My contact tel. no. is : 01704 572622

If I do no hear from anyone on this forum, I will go to the bay

Many thanks

This ancient bear of little brain is baffled by the complexity of trying to place an ad on the website. I have semi succeeded in that the ad appears but without the contact details. Seems I must post something on the forum. and and under which topic etc? But with what sort of content? I will click on the box below for reply. It says this will Send me email notifications when someone replies to this thread

Roy, your details are visible to genuine forum members who have made the required number of posts. You only need to participate in the forum to be able to view adverts not place them.

Panic ye not, as a certain comedian used to say.

I can see all the details of your ad for the 5" Springbok.

"Bookmarks" are on this website, you can see yours if you click on the icon in the middle of the green line at the head of the page.   Useful if you want to keep a record of a particular thread, and have quick and easy access to it.
