Might be worth giving these a call, they are a couple of miles away from M1 Jtn 28 and do mail order.

Yeah! I've bought a lump of metal from M-machine not so long ago on the recommendation in another post on this forum. It arrived in a few days, was specified length, as in less than 1ft long and cheeeep compared with the others. Many ME suppliers don't stock such large sections.

Clogs,

M-Machine also stock cored bronze Pb1 in varying sizes which might make an alternative approach to making the lift nuts with a bronze liner in a steel shell.

I would recommend John Keatley ( Metals) Ltd , they can normally supply most items we need .

0121 236 4300 Birmingham . www.johnkeatleymetals.com

I have no connection to them other than as a satisfied customer .

Clogs, sorry only just seen this post; I was in Sheffield yesterday and today.

I'll probably be back over Tuesday Wed next week so I could possibly call in and ask them for you.

Also ebay shows a phone number for them.

Let my know and I'll give them a bell on your behalf and it'll save you the international call.

What's the spec of the lift??

Bill
