Basically they're 0R resistors, used in this instance as links. The black band 'follows 'the standard resistor band coding, black signifying zero. The resistor type package is probably used so that it can be auto-inserted by machine. A simple wire link couldn't be handled that way and would need hand insertion. Brian |
