Upcoming Events

Hi,

I usually go to Harrogate show but it has now been moved to Brooklands and so I can no longer attend, There are no shows like this in Ireland so I would be keen to find out if anything else is on in England. Can anyone recommend a good show for me to attend. The Events page on this site only seems to give April and May unless I am doing something wrong.

I do know there is one next weekend in Leamington Spa but very unfortunately we cannot attend this one either.

Just for the record, the Harrogate Show actually moved to Doncaster. Our own ME Exhibition at Brooklands moved there from Sandown which is only about eight miles away.

Other shows are Bristol (July) and 'Ally Pally' (around New Year).

There is Alexndra Palace on the 15-17th January . Pretty well the same trade stands as will be at Midlands next weekend. Different clubs exhibiting, well worth a visit.

There is also the Manchester Model Engineering Exhibition, to be held next year on 18th-19th February at Queen Elizabeth Hall, Oldham.

Although I am in the Midlands I find "Ally Pally" (Alexander Palace) to be one of the better shows to attend.

Not forgetting the one that appears at the head of this section, namely the Midlands Model Engineering Exhibition.

Just to save confusion, the London Model Engineering Exhibition at Alexandra Palace is on from the 20th - 22nd January in 2017. http://www.londonmodelengineering.co.uk/

Some time last year,after the exhibition in Middleton Manchester there was talk of a Model Engineering Exhibition in the Manchester area in 2017. It's gone very quiet.

I've seen nothing in the magazines or the press or Radio Manchester

Don't know where you are located and whether you will see this in time Alan, but there is a model show in Carnew, Co. Wexford on Sunday, 5th Feb. Carnew is about 20 minutes from Gorey.

Inishannon Steam And Vintage Rally is on the June Bank holiday Sunday and Monday - about 25 mins from Cork airport. Steam, Stationary Engines, Models and a whole heap more. Good day out for the family.
