Andromeda Galaxy

Well this is work in progress!

I finally got a chunk of night with no moon and clear skies, so my camera has been taking 1 minute 20 second subs of Andromeda Galaxy for the last hour, and I've now changed the batteries.

I have no idea how well it's tracking or if the focus is bang on :-0 but he exposure seems to be pretty good.

If it can stay clear until 11:30 I hope to have something worth showing off tomorrow....

Here we go M31 the great galaxy in Andromeda, possibly a bit too saturated, perhaps still some work to do on this:

Small galaxy at the top is M110, the little round one underneath is M32.

Keep a look out for the bit of round metal that launched itself into outer space when it came loose in the chuck. I think it went in that general direction

Hi Neil, u have re awoken my general interest in the stars.....

I did get 2 c ur moon and planets the other morning and I now know how 2 find the North Star. (thanks 2 google)....

would still like to c the manned space station some time ...
