Watch out for uncorrected errors around cylinders, valve gear , brake operating rods, etc.

Sorry!

Having built a 5" Stanier 2-6-4, I started by enlarging the "Jubilee" drawings (from ME), but after acquiring a dimensioned GA (published in Railway Modeller, I think), I realised that Martin Evans had made everything very over scale.

Send me a PM, and I can send you a PDF of the GA, as well as a JPG of a side-on photo of a full size one, just out of the shops. (The same picture that was published in ME).

Thanks David, I was wanting to buy a set of second hand drawings because I am not quite convinced if I want to build this loco right now or not.

And when you get them draw out a plan view around the valve gear on squared paper where 1/32" =1/10th ,

and discover nothing fits, if you build it to the drawing dimensions !

As this has most parts do these plans show where the pipes and valves etc are run and situated? I'm a real amateur and jumped in at the deep end, thank you👍🏻

Better that you don't fit the brake gear as drawn or you will never be able to drop the ashpan.
