Gavin, thank you for keeping "this civil"!!?? With respect I am unsure how to interpret "Don't be a complete Plum" if this intended to be a civil response.

In an earlier and subsequent post you eluded to your tireless efforts in keeping the rail network running throughout the Pandemic, the inference being the network was a shining example of how to cope in adversity and MTM's performance by comparison was very poor. With customer surveys ratings of 83% or 84% quoted as "bad" I think the comparison needed to be made in the interests of fairness. You clearly expect MTM to provide standards of service the rail network is totally unable to deliver, whether it is the matter in hand or otherwise.

I would suggest the issues you have raised lie with the distribution network whether Courier or Post Office, the public have turned to online purchases in a big way and distribution services are stretched to the limit and beyond. Staff illness, Covid19 isolation looking after relatives and children unable to attend school all adds to the problem and it is ridiculous to expect everything to run like clockwork.

I understand this topic "has got to you" but you have aired your views and now is the time to regain your sense of proportion, it is only a late magazine delivery and ultimately will not affect your life one way or another. time to move on.

LOYALTY.

Loyalty is genuinely having their best interests at heart and ensuring that relationship is RECIPROCAL!

Formal definition of "loyalty". Perhaps a bit too high brow for some.

My Loyalty runs back in total to 1955. But wearing very thin. The only reason I keep going is to stay in touch as a confirmed recluse and to support the few good guys left like Martin Gearing, Martin Evans, a little Hotspur and Terence Holland et al. And Not One of those is a garden railway enthusiast.

Slightly off topic but relevant nonetheless. Forum members may recall I posted in October "Issue 298 Gremlins" where I had received a Mongrel Copy with missing and duplicated pages. Neil & Beth responded positively and on Wednesday I received a replacement although I had already purchased one. It is clear the system works and a little patience is required. Thank you Neil & Beth.

Your sanctimonious response confirms my statement. A complete plum - no bits missing. Anyways, the railways HAVE kept runnng and usually do refund if running late (delay repay) perhaps MTM should do smthing similar as this is the second magazine that has been over a week late. Their email responses are poor to say the least and have not resolved the problem. Even IF they are working from home they can at least reply to emails......

Lets keep the personal attacks out of it.

As for MTM having something similar to to the rail systems refund, surely getting an extra mag tacked onto the subscription is refunding the cost of the missing one.

As to you getting the same number of issues as you subscribed to I quite agree - however if you want to have a complete run you have to pay 2 1/2 times the cost of your extra issue to buy the missing one from MagsUK

Just to point out that readers who have a missing issue in their collection that is not available as a back issue are almost always able to fill the gap at nominal cost through a free reader's ad in the magazines or a free ad on this website.

I fully agree with you Nick and after reading some of the previous comments it seems that the people trying to defend MTM policies have either received their copies or subscribe digitally.

It is obvious that the Post Office are at full stretch with extra Christmas mail and also the virus home test kits etc but I think that a fortnight is long enough for me to consider my copy of ME4653 to have gone astray - or do others think I am being a little previous?

It may be that I am in a tiny minority so If you have not received your copy please let us all know - I'm not interested in those who have received theirs - just those who haven't

Keep safe everyone

No, they say IN PLAIN ENGLISH "never miss a copy". Merely getting an extra issue tagged on to the end of your subscription is not the same and NOT what they promise in their advertising.

Not got my 4653 either and it is now two weeks late. My other magazines have arrived ON TIME so two weeks late with BOTH 4652 and 3 is strange to say the least.

All UK copies of each issue are posted out at the same time. My copy of 4653 arrived last week (more or less with MEW 299) and 4654 arrived yesterday. As it's clear the Royal Mail are struggling, I think 2-3 weeks is a reasonable minimum to wait, also it takes at least that long for spare issues to go into stock as back issues.

ME 4653 is not yet in stock at mags-UK.com, you may want to wait until it is in before calling subscriptions, as they won't be able to order you a replacement and will tell you an issue is out of stock if you call too early.

I suggest you contact subscriptions and ask for replacement issues for 4652 and 4653 when 4653 appears at mags-UK, although it is still possible they could turn up.

For subscription contact details please see THIS LINK.

Hi all

Can someone tell me if their copy of ME 4654 has been delivered yet? I don't really keep tabs on when I normally receive mine, just checking that it hasn't gone astray.

Thanks in advance

Pete

Looking back at previous posts people were starting to get 2with 4655 before that.99 around 27/28th Nov so as it's on a 5 week cycle I would say it not quite due.

Thanks Jason..

I updated my subscription to include digital earlier this week so hopefully, once the office reopens that request will be actioned and I can download any that go astray.

Kind Regards

Pete
