Just to be a bit controversial, how about the following:-
Prepetual motion does already exist and we live on a supreme example of that fact, (planet earth) Our sun also appears to be a perpetual power source.
bit of luck you wont be around when it goes out then

103 forum posts | I "invented" perpetual motion whilst still at school. Extremely simple. I coupled my cycle dynamo to an electric motor (Meccano), the motor drove the dynamo which powered the motor. As initial trials were rather disappointing I turned my attention to Keil Kraft model aircraft. Never did get around to finalising the project. Now I know why!

Too right Roy, I can't stand cold conditions!
Just noticed my post says Prepetual not perpetual, shame we cannot edit later.
Keil Craft aircraft, yes I spent a lot of my youth making them as well. |

theres no reason to think the other planets are immune to this.
just because it always has doesn't mean it always will.
to sum it in one word.
TANSTAAFL .

58 forum posts | The energy for the solar system came from somewhere.Astrophysicists are still try finding out from where the energy originated-their best theory so far is that of the 'Big Bang'. The sun is not a perpetual source of energy either. As it exhausts its nuclear energy,it will swell to become a red giant star which will engulf the Earth, ending any life that might remain at that time. The sun will then collapse to a white dwarf star and slowly fade away. Theres no such thing as a perpetual motion machine! |

1 forum posts | There may be no such thing as a perpetual motion machine, but energy generation is the new gold rush/industrial revolution for ther 21st century. Check out the 'Bloom Box' fuel cells: http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/22/the-bloom-box-a-power-plant-for-the-home-video/ ..and a more esoteric claim from Steorn here, claiming they get more energy out of a system than they put in: http://www.steorn.com/ The world was considered flat once. |

Sorry, Not perpetual, just long lived by our standards but short lived by universal ones It will go red giant and white dwarf in time (or is it the other way round, I can't remember) then cool down to a ball of cold material ready to be recycled. And the planets will stop rotating and moving as the system collapses with the sun. Sorry, no perpetual motion there. Energy input still needed Terry |

![]() 1946 forum posts 179 photos | Dear oh Dear Alan, I can't beleive you've been fooled by this sort of claim. They come up every so often and are then shown to b ae useless sham. Remember the Australian 'Joe engine' of a few years ago. if not, research it. another example of hope over reality. the flatness of the world or otherwise has nothing to do with it, there are certain immutable principles on which the Universe operates and a mere man cannot change these despite his arrogance. by the way I hope I'm proved wrong but I'm not holding my breath. Regards Terry |
