Thread: Full workshop for sale on ebay
26/01/2017 10:15:43

Hello all, Ive told my wife a number of times that whatever she does, dont let the scrap man have anything. Just pick up the phone and contact one of the preserved railways, West Somerset, Vale of Berkeley, Bodmin etc. Im pretty sure they would jump at the chance of some useful equipment. Apart from the odd battery drill, Im pretty sure she or the kids wont want anything. Thats my wish anyway.

Bill, ive the one with the 350 mm disc and have cut many 2 inch mild steel bars on it. Take it easy, and they will cut just about anything. Very noisy though. With some juggling, I cut through a 6 inch square RSJ the other day.

From what Ive read, theres a lot more than 150 years worth of it left. We are run by morons, including the green brigade......theyre green alright !!!.

Michael, the skip was outside of an engineering business/ hydraulics repair shop (Derek Lane & Co near Exeter, now moved ). It makes me wonder what else they chucked away. Scrapyards wont let people wander around them down here .... health and safety.
