I recently bought some traction engine casting wheels boiler for ransomes 6HP compound traction engine but no paper work and now the problem trying identify right engine the rear diameter is 17 7/8 but I having problem trying find the right drawings in the right scale and would appreciate help and information thankyou for any help yours norm |

the dimensions are overall is length 55 mm diameter19 mm and there is collar the first measurment 45 &half mm & the second is 50 mm and collar dimensions 25 mm & size of peg on the front 16mm &the length 5mm the front is threaded the same as the spindle and at the front is tapped 8mm &there is a recessed washer I hope this helps regards NR |

I look for a picture on your forum whit no picture.i would suggest fitting boss where it fits to engine trying to keep it central better if there was hole in centre of the flywheel to work from. and grip in four jaw to centre. but remove the teeth with anglegrinder |

method I used in the past is to find a small threaded bolt about the same size as allen key and tap into the hole not to hard and gently tune it out used to work on old motor bikes allen screws regards norm |

I have a brook Crompton parkinson range mater inverter v220/240 input output 370 w I bought board with dc controller and a single phase inverter and single to 3phase so do not know what it was for but it looks very complex for a fan regards norm hope this helps you |

I ALL having trouble with my Colchester chipmaster clutch is slipping but I don't think it is the clutch there is a lot end play in the shaft it self and the clutch housing .and there is no information in the manual that I bought from tony Griffiths or in manual that came with it .so is there anybody out with the information that can help me there must be some worn parts or bearing I thought it was the variator but I have changed the oil in variator . thanks in advanced for any information regard nome |

on understanding gap when silver soldering is when doing boiler tubes I dill then ream till i just get movement the tube moves no visible gap but I get perfect joint the fact is no visible gap but movement because there is clearance plus the flux in all joint must give clearance regards norm |
