56 forum posts 14 photos | Good evening all, I would be grateful if anyone out there could point me in the direction of any Indexes relating to Model Engineering Magazines. I used to use Colin Usher's site, but when I changed over to Windows 7 I found it impossible to access the files as I think it was designed for XP. Also it now is somewhat short of recent years. Any suggestions would be most welcome, many thanks. John |

56 forum posts 14 photos | Good evening Alan & Les, Thanks for your replies, I followed the link and found Colin's site, unfortunately I can't find the Magazine search engine link it appears to be missing from the site unless I not looking in the right place, any help would be appreciated. There was some while back a proposed set of indexes from a gentleman named Dacosta but can't remember what happened to that. John |

They all have their strengths, CAHW is best if you know the author or article title you are looking for or browsing subjects. Dias' utility is the best one if you have a general idea of what you are searching for as you can try various search terms. CAHW can be ordered from here: **LINK** Dias' utilities are here: **LINK** Neil |

56 forum posts 14 photos | Hello Neil, Thanks for the info, I have down loaded it for all three magazines two of which open successfully and are very useful, the third however won't open, I get the following message; SQLite 3DS cross issue date SQLITE MISUSE unable to open database file. Haven't a clue what it means or how to get over it, was hoping Dias Costa or any one else
John for that matter might see the query and point me in the right direction. |

56 forum posts 14 photos | Hello Dias, Thank you for getting in touch, my apologies for the slow reply I have only now had a chance to do so. The Index in question is E.I.M. I have downloaded all three sets of Files and placed them in a separate folder. M.E. and M.E.W. both open O.K. and work well, but when I try the E.I.M index I get the message; Sqlite 3DS cross_issue_date : SQLITE_ MISUSE_unable to open database file. Press o.k.to ignore & risk data corruption. Press cancel to close.

![]() 19226 forum posts 749 photos 86 articles | Hello Dias, I updated a couple of days ago, and only tried the EiM index when John reported the problem. I get exactly the same error message and clicking OK just closes the window. ME and MEW both work OK, so perhaps a data corruption issue? I'm using W8 and I have all the files in the same folder. Can you provide a link for me to use in case this is the cause of the problem? many thanks, John |
