I retired aged 60 after a lifetime in the building industry as a joiner. Needing a change of direction and something to fill the new spare time plus having always had an interest in metalworking I decided that learning a new skill would be a good idea. I joined local model engineering classes, progressing from one to the next as they gradually closed, jumped in at the deep end starting of with a Grandfather clock which proved succesful, things have gone on from there with a few more clocks and a diversion into Stationary engines and several itms of tooling as required. All been great fun thoroughly enjoyable, and looking forward to more of the same.
