7 forum posts | Hi , does any one know of a simple glow engine to make and where I can get some working drawings from. It is my first engine build so that's why it wants to be simple, I have a lathe but no milling machine so milling would have to be done on lathe. Any help would be much appreciated. Tim |

![]() 25215 forum posts 3105 photos 1 articles | The Whittaker "Firefly 0.46" is quite straight forward with plans freely available and could just about be done on a lathe with vertical slide. Liek all the small glow and compression diesel engines fit of parts is everything so pay attension to getting one part to fit another. My detailed build is here and drawings here , it's the WF46--- drawings that you want No 1-20 J Edited By JasonB on 25/05/2014 16:30:31 |

110 forum posts 3 photos | I've been watching for some time, with it saying "Updated plans coming soon!" but no sign for some months. Any idea if they are coming soon - and is there a problem with the existing plans? |

![]() 858 forum posts 215 photos | I built the Nemett as my first engine, it's not as simple as the Firefly, but the ME magazine series was so detailed and well illustrated with photo's it made it a bit like painting by numbers and if you stick with a glow plug, the complexities of spark ignition can be avoided. |
