hiya all,

I was wondering if any one is interested in M3, M2 and M1.6 hex bolts and pozipan screws.

I ask because I am intending to bulk buy primarily for my self but the minimum order is some what huge. I therefore am thinking of selling the surplus as I will not be using all of them in a reasonable time period.

they will be stainless but the length at this moment i am setting at 20mm.

there are also eye bolts on offer if required.

the price is yet unknown for deffinate but will be reasonable.

please let me know if you are interested and a little of what you were looking for.

many thanks

becky

What sort of hex heads will they be? the flatter metric type will look OK on your vehicle models but for steam models it looks far better to have a taller head with single chamfer, again pozi heads will look wrong on historicalk subjects.

Back in the '80's I had no difficulty in sourcing good quality high spec. engine turned hexagon head set screws and nuts from 0BA to 16BA that looked the business on scale steam engines. Coming back to the hobby in the last couple of years however, I find my original suppliers no longer exist.

Does anyone know who supplies the good stuff any more?

Rik

Hi

I am interested in nuts and bolts / hex head setscrewsand plain washers.

I am assuming that these will be in 100s?

I think you will need to post an idea of price to get interest, I have just obtaind EN1a leaded steel in 5,6,8,10,12,16,20 & 25mm diameterr and chopped it into 500mm lengths when I determined that I could do this for £20 a set the uptake trebled from the initial interest

You can put me down as a potential buyer of SS fixings but not hexagon headed.

Any screws or bolts csk, pan or whatever in small sizes but not slotted so posi, phillips, hex socket all OK for me.

I don't use metric on my models only BA for the wide range and flexibility of thread diameters. EKP are good but they won't do stainless, as they claim it wears their die heads too much. (They have made a few 2BA hex heads but found that there is little market for them)

As model engines (normally) need very few bolts I normally make all my own, which has become even quicker since I purchased a die head. Making your own has the added advantage that you don't get fobbed off with metric sized hex heads.

I would like some BA nuts in stainless but only if they are the correct BA sizes.

Becky,

You might also find what you need, in small quantities, from Conrad **LINK** - although I'm not sure if they do stainless. I've bought various nickel-plated brass from them in small quantities in the past, in the sizes you mention.
