I'm fed-up with all this easy-peasy metalworking nonsense, just taking ten years to make an extraordinarily beautiful triple expansion marine engine for example.

As Michael has said - AWESOME. However if I started something like that now, I'm 71 , I would be about 199 by the time I finished it laugh. Good luck.

My Godess - in - residence can spend hours looking for things that she has put "somewhere safe", I can't imagine what it would be like if she had one of those to store stuff in

It really is an amazing piece of furniture though.

Probably made by an army of craftsmen and apprentices, I doubt it is one mans work.

Indeed a beautiful example of craftsmanship from an elegant era. The inlays are very nice.
