Looks like an incredible bargain for somebody! I can't help feeling the seller has not researched the market very well, it should easily sell for at least 1k more. Collecting from Inverness is a bit of a downer, but you could easily find a professional moving firm and still be quids in.

Could not let this go so I have desided to venture into the great unknown and hills of that bit above preston.

google maps says it's 383 miles from preston to loch carron hotel, you'd need a pint and a bed after that drive.

So thinking of doing it in one day, early start late finish and a couple of match sticks.

Hi Ron

I have a mate who lives in North Ballachulish and i can tell you it is one hell of a drive in good weather let alone the weather up there at the moment. My mate's place is right on the A82 and he runs a B&B there. If you would like his name, address, and phone No. just in case you need it send me a PM .

Cheers Derek.

I responded to a Gumtree ad for a ML7.

I offered to collect and pay cash, seller replied they would deliver at no charge COD, I would be able to examine goods and pay only if satisfied.

Next day received email, apparently from well known carrier saying my goods were ready for delivery, I needed to go to a shop, buy a voucher for the cash amount and send a scan of it to them.

I didn't have a scanner so couldn't oblige.

Watch out for scammers, don't part with cash unless you can put your hands on the goods and the vendor at the same time.

About scammers have a look at this well known sites warning **LINK**

I have had dubious enquiries about selling my tools and state buyer views and pays cash.

The majority of buyers and sellers are genuine but caution is the order of the day on the Web.

Windy.

Well did it in a day, left a 0400 arrived at 1230. had a great reception from the seller, he had arranged for two man to help with loading and his wife gave me lunch, I left at 1430 and arrived home at 2230.

Long trip but was worth it for this lathe at the price it was sold at. It came with a lot of extras.
