http://www.alanstepney.info/page43.html for some Tich errors. Mine I made with large boiler and slip eccentric; had to change the ashpan a bit because of the eccentrics hitting the ashpan. There must be lots of drawings out there; in fact, did not Model Engineer reprint them in the magazine a year or two ago? Mine is great fun; keeping the drawings so that I can make another when I get old and frail!

Whens that ? next week ? At the rate time's flying, it'll seem like that. Currently 52. I'm just finishing a boiler started a little while ago; my last notes for it say "2008". I think simplifying and sticking to smaller/easier projects is the way to go; the big ones seem to take decades unless you are Cherry Hill or similar superhuman. BTW - my little Tich has a Dutch boiler certificate (finished and tested when living there) and it flies as cabin baggage the few times I have taken it to other parts of Canada. Fun seeing the x-ray security guards all pointing at the screen wondering what that thing in the wooden box is! I think it's travelled more than some people. An older and maybe wiser JohnS. |

63 forum posts | Hi Stephen, Think you may need the "paper" copies of those issues as they dont appear to be included in the "archive" issues, why is that ??? |

168 forum posts 26 photos | Hi Stephen, If you ring up MyHobbyStore on 0844 848 8822 then you can order the backups or the full drawing set. I have ordered a recent backissue that I had misplaced that had originally come with a free drawing sheet for another loco and this was included in the back issue. Check when you speak to someone, however, even if they are not sure if the drawing is included, it may be there anyway. Dave |
