Steam ports

steam portsI made this twin from a photo but it wont work, I guess that i have put the steam ports in the wrong place, Any advice would be great as I would like to get it running after nearly completing it.

Eeehh, no possible to run steamengine with one port, you need 2 ports , inled and outled. See the link: http://www.animatedengines.com/oscillatingsteam.html

Hi Guys, The inlet port is the hole at the top of the steam chest, exhaust bottom hole,

centre pivot guide. The piston on bottom of stroke clears the lower exhaust hole.

Andy.....sorry, you have got the ports on the stand all wrong. If you google "Animated Engines-Oscillating Cylinder", you will see how they should be arranged.

You may be able to plug the holes on the standard and redrill as per the links given above.

Thanks guys, I sure guest it wrong in drilling my ports in the position I put them, Not sure if i will just make a new post with regards to the animated engine link. Or blank off thre existing port and re-align them,

If it dosnt work will try again and make a new post.
